BAE Systems is hosting a series of presentations July 12 &ndas; 14 in San Diego during the Esri International User Conference to introduce revolutionary technology for automated photogrammetry, data management and image analysis. With the addition of the Frame-Advanced sensor model, BAE Systems’ SOCET GXP extreme Analysis software achieves a new level of support for SOCET SET photogrammetric workflows, from frame imagery import to advanced product generation.

Members of the media are invited to see software demonstrations featuring SOCET GXP and GXP Xplorer, a new commercial product that offers an automated approach to data discovery and building a common data environment. GXP Xplorer Web technology allows cloud computing on intranet and Internet with support for mobile apps and streaming data to provide GEOINT on-demand from anywhere.

Product specialists will show how to discover, access and organize geospatial data in GXP Xplorer; use SOCET GXP® to view, exploit and disseminate the data; and republish intelligence products generated to GXP Xplorer. The complementary products give infrastructure managers, first responders and deployed forces automated tools for rapid data discovery, analysis and product creation in the operational environment.

Each of the seven demonstrations offers a 10-minute overview and follow-up question-and-answer session. Topics covered include GXP Xplorer Mobile apps: Bringing GEOINT to the hands of users; GXP Xplorer: Understanding your data universe; SOCET GXP: 3-D modeling technology; and SOCET SET, SOCET GXP and ArcGIS 10: Direct connections to Esri geodatabases.

When:

Tuesday, July 12, 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, July 13, 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Analysts use a map-based discovery window to locate and view data, and to select files for use in other software applications, such as PowerPoint® or SOCET GXP®. The GXP Xplorer data library offers cataloging and search tools to build a common data environment.

GXP Xplorer is an open enterprise solution that can scale from a handheld device, to a desktop, to an enterprise-wide server cluster. It runs in virtual environments and can be tailored for a variety of configurations such as a single-user catalog, peer-to-peer catalog sharing, and multiple users sharing the same work group catalog. Users can store data copies for safekeeping and synchronize with libraries on other devices.

GXP Xplorer is available as an independent software application and as an integrated software component for BAE Systems’ SOCET GXP. SOCET GXP combines advanced image analysis and geospatial production tools into one comprehensive product for situational analysis, operational planning, and geospatial-intelligence reporting.

Event:

Media representatives are invited to a BAE Systems technology demonstration at the GEOINT 2009 Symposium. The company will demonstrate new features for its automated geospatial-intelligence analysis and reporting software, SOCET GXP® v3.1, which offers high-definition video analysis, terrain profiling, hyperspectral and multispectral image processing, and real-time visualization.

SOCET GXP is a geospatial-intelligence software package that reduces dependency on multiple tools to record and analyze ground features. Field analysts create intelligence through satellite and tactical means for use in site comparisons, disaster relief and recovery, and detection of potential improvised explosive devices and ambush sites. SOCET GXP currently is used on the frontlines in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The company also will preview XPL, a new data library and search tool that helps organizations and commanders manage data on local workstations, over a network, or across an enterprise. The application is ideal for users in workgroups who are searching for images, terrain, features, videos, documents, and other files.
