BAE Systems Adds Frame Camera Sensor Modeling to Geospatial-intelligence Software

SAN DIEGO, Calif. 6 April 2011 — BAE Systems has added new capabilities to its geospatial-intelligence (GEOINT) software, providing enhancements that allow customers to import high-resolution imagery from scanned film and digital airborne sensors. The company’s SOCET GXP® software automates image processing to make analysts more responsive in the operational environment.

With the addition of frame import and triangulation, SOCET GXP® achieves a new level of support for SOCET SET® workflows. SOCET GXP v3.2 also includes terrain registration, comparison and volumetrics that go well beyond the tools in SOCET SET.

SOCET GXP v3.1.1, adds performance improvements to amend the v3.1.0 release, and integration with the Mensuration Services Program (MSP) for classified customers. Users have the option to use either MSP or RULER for mensuration.

Targeting operator certification

The U.S. Air Force Precise Point Positioning Program (AFP4) received program accreditation from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in October of 2009 to train and certify Air Force Intelligence personnel in precise point mensuration.
