SOCET SET v5.6.0 is now available with support for Esri ArcGIS 10 when using the SOCET for ArcGIS module. Additional enhancements include improved performance, support for geodatabase subtypes, and auto-attribution improvements.
SAN DIEGO, Calif. 6 April 2011 — BAE Systems has added new capabilities to its geospatial-intelligence (GEOINT) software, providing enhancements that allow customers to import high-resolution imagery from scanned film and digital airborne sensors. The company’s SOCET GXP® software automates image processing to make analysts more responsive in the operational environment.
BAE Systems has implemented a new licensing plan for SOCET SET® and SOCET GXP® — customers can increase productivity for computationally-intensive processes, including automatic point measurement in triangulation, orthorectification, mosaicking; and automatic terrain generation.
SOCET SET® v5.5 supports SOCET GXP® v3.1, Sun® Microsystems® Sparc Solaris™ 10, Microsoft® Vista and XP 32, and the Applanix™ DSS 439 digital frame camera. Enhancements include the new frame sensor model and the addition of numerous satellite sensor models. NGATE now has functionality for simultaneous generation of digital terrain and surface models.
SOCET SET v5.4.1 includes a wealth of productivity enhancements for creating and editing high-resolution terrain and surface models,including improvements to the Next-Generation Automatic Terrain Extraction (NGATE), which was introduced in v5.4.0.
