BAE Systems signs multiple distributors worldwide for its SOCET SET and SOCET GXP software

SAN DIEGO — BAE Systems has secured several international distributor agreements to expand marketing its software for image analysis, geospatial analysis, and photogrammetry, SOCET GXP and SOCET SET®, to major mapping and intelligence centers and commercial customers. The extended distributor network includes offices in Germany, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Korea, Lebanon, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain, and Taiwan.

“The expansion indicates the depth of interest in our product offerings,” said Dan London, BAE Systems’ sales and marketing vice president for geospatial exploitation products. “This global distributor network allows us to reach customers in areas that need automated image analysis and mapping capability. Many of them are creating infrastructure for the first time or rebuilding transportation networks that have been devastated by natural and manmade disasters.”

Geospatial image processing software products can assist companies or governments in critical operations including homeland security, disaster relief, humanitarian efforts, defense missions, and other projects that require superior visual intelligence.

SOCET GXP and SOCET SET software is used by commercial, government, and defense organizations for high-precision mapping, image analysis, change detection, GIS data generation and 3-D viewing. The new distributors are the exclusive channel for promoting these software tools in their regions: Rollei representing Austria, Switzerland and Germany; Marathon Data Systems representing Greece, Cyprus and Serbia; GEOTOP in Italy; ICS in Jordan and United Arab Emirates; GSM Solutions in Korea; GIS Transport in Lebanon; Jurupro Sdn. Bhd.in Malaysia; Singapore British Engineering in Singapore; TRAGSATEC in Spain; and U&U Engineering in Taiwan.
