SAN DIEGO – BAE Systems will introduce a new feature extraction capability tool — Feature Analyst® — for its SOCET SET® world-class digital photogrammetry application.
BAE Systems, working with Visual Learning Systems (VLS), developers of Feature Analyst, will integrate this new capability as an extension to SOCET SET. Feature Analyst provides a pathway for automated feature extraction and is a leader in image understanding technology. Feature Analyst for SOCET SET will also provide users with advanced 3-D feature extraction capability. The enhanced version of SOCET SET will be available later this year.
“Feature Analyst is recognized worldwide as a cutting-edge technology for lowering the labor costs of geospatial data production processes,” said Dan London, vice president of sales and marketing for BAE Systems Geospatial eXploitation Products™ (GXP). “We feel our customer base will benefit tremendously with the addition of Feature Analyst’s capabilities for SOCET SET.”
According to David Opitz, VLS chief executive officer, the new integrated product will provide customers with faster and cleaner extractions, while lowering the over-all cost of image interpretation. “SOCET SET’s rigorous approach to digital photogrammetry is a perfect match for Feature Analyst’s advanced feature extraction toolsets. We’re pleased to be working with BAE Systems, setting a new benchmark for state-of-the-art geospatial feature extraction software systems.”
