A mosaic is the end result of combining multiple smaller images into one larger, cohesive image. Geographically, a mosaic is a raster data set composed of multiple raster datasets merged together. For example, create one image by merging several individual images or photographs of adjacent areas. In SOCET GXP, different types of images from different sensor models can be mosaicked together to form a Virtual Mosaic.
