triangulation

Triangulation is the process of orienting and registering images to the ground to create a rigorous sensor model. After triangulation, images have much higher accuracy. Accuracy in triangulation is achieved by measuring image coordinates, using ground control points, tie points, and terrain files. Triangulation builds a support file for each image in the triangulation session that contains a rigorous sensor model with accurate sensor model parameters.
