How to find your Locking Code or Host ID

SOCET GXP

Windows

  1. Install the GXP License Manager.
  2. After the installation completes, select from the Windows Start menu > Start > Programs > GXP License Manager > SOCET GXP Host ID.
  3. A message window will open and display a locking code in the following format:
    4-***** (5 digits after the dash)

UNIX

  1. Install the GXP License Manager. The default installation location is /opt/GXPLicMgr.
  2. Enter the following:

    cd /opt/GXPLicMgr
    run ./socetgxp_hostid

  3. This will return the locking code in the following format:

    ./socetgxp_hostid

    Sentinel LM 8.0 Host Locking Code Information Utility
    Copyright (C) 2004 Rainbow Technologies, Inc.

    Locking Code 1 : 1-2590D

SOCET SET

Windows

  1. Install the GXP License Manager.
  2. After the installation completes, select from the Windows Start menu > Start > Programs > GXP License Manager > SOCET SET Host ID.
  3. A message window will open and display a locking code in the following format:
    Dongle ID: E1577AFD

UNIX

  1. Install the GXP License Manager. The default installation location is /opt/GXPLicMgr.
  2. Enter the following:

    cd /opt/GXPLicMgr
    run ./socetgxp_hostid

  3. This will return the locking code in the following format:

    ./socetgxp_hostid

    Sentinel LM 8.0 Host Locking Code Information Utility
    Copyright (C) 2004 Rainbow Technologies, Inc.

    Locking Code 1 : 1-2590D

VITec

To find the host ID of the system that will run the license server software:

UNIX

  • Enter the folllowing (where $ELT_PATH is the location where VITec ELT is installed):

    cd $ELT_PATH
    bin/lshostid
