GXP has a long history of international sales. With increased company support for international initiatives, GXP is rebuilding its distributor network. Currently, GXP has four international distributors: Data Force (Taiwan), GSM Solutions (Korea), Image Information Technologies (Israel), and Japan Aerospace Corporation. In 2011 GXP added an office in New Delhi, to serve the Indian market; sales manager Rajnish Bhatia has been in post for about eight months.

However, they pose many software challenges, and software vendors are working hard to develop new software to manage, process, visualize, and extract features from point clouds.

“We have many tools to make 3D measurements from imagery that can be applied to make 3D measurements from point cloud data,” says Zhang. “That is our legacy and our competitive advantage.”
