What to do when the mouse reaches the edge of a Multiport

The following tip is helpful to know when a user is annotating a polyline or using any tool such as the magnifying glass.

  • When approaching the edge of a Multiport, do not exit the current tool and roam to the next portion of the screen to continue the task.
  • While annotating or using any other tool and the mouse reaches the edge of a Multiport, a small dashed-line box appears.
  • After the dashed-line box appears, press the space bar to continue roaming in the direction of the mouse.
  • Press the space bar again to stop and continue the current task.
  • This prevents the user from having to add vertices and connect disjointed annotations that span more than the extent of a Multiport.
